What thickness corrugated polycarbonate do I need?
0.8–1.0 mm for standard sheds and carports, 1.0–1.2 mm for industrial roofing with normal snow loads, 1.5–2.0 mm for heavy snow or hail zones. Confirm the regional snow/wind load with our engineers before ordering.
Can corrugated polycarbonate replace corrugated metal roofing?
Yes for daylighting and corrosion-prone sites: PC is 10× lighter than metal, never rusts, and transmits 60–80% daylight while blocking UV. Use matching profiles so existing purlins and flashings work unchanged.
What is the maximum span for corrugated PC without purlins?
As a rule of thumb, keep support spacing at or below 1.0 m for 0.8–1.0 mm sheets and 1.2 m for 1.2 mm+. Larger spans need thicker profiles or a structural check.
